Hi Reader, This move isn’t just a change of zip code. It’s the start of a new chapter — both in my work and in my life.
Earlier this year, I came out as gay. It was scary, uncertain, and full of unknowns. But it was also freeing. My move to Honolulu is part of choosing to live authentically — to expand my world, to be braver, and to honor who I truly am. And just like the work I do with dogs, this journey is about trust, empathy, and choice. It’s about creating a life — and a practice — where both humans and dogs feel safe, supported, and seen. Here’s what that looks like in my work: If you’re in Honolulu and curious about how I can help, I’d love to connect. Consults, enrichment walks (a brand-new service — more info coming soon!), and behavior support are now open for booking. And if you’re local, you can also find me at the Hawaiian Humane Society every Tuesday morning walking dogs. Want to join me? It’s one of the most rewarding ways to give back. My hope in sharing this is simple: if you’ve ever felt afraid to take a leap, or to live as your most authentic self, I want you to know you’re not alone. Bravery doesn’t mean the fear goes away — it means we keep moving forward, even with shaky hands. With gratitude & heart, P.S. If you’d like to keep following along with my journey (messy middle and all), you’ll find me sharing updates and training tips on Instagram: @DogsChoiceHawaii 🌺 |
